I’d like to personally thank NOLAWI, MERON and DAWIT for supporting me by promoting this even on BERNOS. ABREN ENE FORIF was a major SUCCESS!! For everyone that came and supported me, THANK YOU. For everyone that came and couldn’t get in because of the line, i also want to THANK YOU for trying your best and showing me some love. It was ridiculous and crazy busy, but at the end of it all it was a GREAT! A million thank you’s to our bernos supporters who came out and partied as well. We all LOVE you.

Selam enclosed the schedule

The party is not where the promoters decides its where I am at. Where you are at. So make the most of this 25 anniv soccer in DC.

I am the arada, the kool kid in the block and I got some help from bernos thus as promised the weeks schedule; today I am going to give you a list of where to go when. I have gotten feedback from all the promoters through Nolawi. They don’t talk to me but they do talk to the cool people of bernos because I guess they are cool.

Tuesday – Avenue

This is the place, its three floors of fun I am sure they are going to have different music in each floor. The DCAllstars are doing this party, and it should be nice small and cozy since it’s still early. All of the bernos crew is going to be there, from the email I got Nolawi via text message.

  • 649 New York Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001

Second Option - Josephine by the DC Dynasty crew, including Talk of DC, who always has hot girls

There are other parties but don’t go to the rest of the lame parties, unless you are fara ofcource.

Wednesday – ::ABREN ENE FORIF ::ULTRA BAR

Aka presenting bernos’ own Beshou, ena lets meforefing, I love the theme, and everything, because you know most of the promoters are old rich guys, so this night is saved for the Red and Yellow. This should be a cozy reunion at Ultra Bar, so if you need to get in come very early. There is not shameless plug here I am going here I believe in meforef, if you are cool come to the right place, otherwise forget you.

Second Option: there is not Second option.

Thursday – bernos is at love

This is big you guys, meron is choreographing a fashion show in the middle of the club. I have been to love a few times; it’s the best club in DC and one of the best clubs in the country, I heard.

This will be hot, so many promoters and so many promotions in the party. You have to go to this party, because bernos is going to be there. This is a shameless plug regardless this is going to be the hottest party of the week, I believe.

Second Option: there is not second option. Check here for details.

The DC Allstar Party list

Why Abesha girls go to the club ?

There are things you need to learn about talking to chicks in clubs & bars

  • Women go to to these places primarily to get attention, hang out or get drunk), they do not go to clubs to “get picked up”. They love it when men try to pick them up as it makes them feel attractive, but they’re not there to be picked up.
  • 95% of the men in the club are staring at them from a far and not doing anything about it all night
  • They’re used to the majority of the remaining 5% who do talk to them, being either sleazy players or drunk jerks

So, don’t stare and try to appear normal. Talk to many people as possible. And then approach girl using general conversation starters. Not to aggressive but confident. Be funny. And if it goes somewhere it does … if it doesn’t move on.

So Far…

There are going to be several parties during the week. Each day there are more than one parties that are promoters are wanting you to attend.

Some of the promoters are having the same themed parties for several days.

You should avoid these parties because they are going to be the dull. Beshou has some reunion thing for lycee temrioch, according to her website rendevousdc.

She has been sending way too many messages already. Its possible Wednesday night will be ye addis aba rich kids reunion so although yuppies will be there I might attend this just for the view.

Thursday, homeboy danny davis, ultra Ethiopian promoter club owner has a party at love. Love is probably the best club in DC so you might as well check it out for one night.

DCabesha folks have a party at Avenue almost everyday. You should also check out their parties for one day. I suggest there if you are in town early. They too have been advertising excessively. Stop sending me messages beqagn. I know!

I will keep you up with the updates.

Selam Hizboch!

I just wanted to give you a quick update.

Long ago, when I was in New York City, this is in the mid nineties, I decided I was going to promote a party and get Ethiopian ladies to come. The plan was not to make money but to get phone numbers. But none showed up, other than my six male friends.

That was the first time I had respect for promoters, because its hard to orgnaize my people to be at one place at one time. Read the rest of this entry »
